Opening and advance

Inspect the lower river gaps before heading north. Commit to a crossing only while the lower band is covered; use the middle band to reposition before the next crossing.

Solo defence and local co-op

Guard a lower-bank crossing, not the distant top edge. In co-op, leave one tank south of the lower river until the other has returned.

Common mistake

Crossing both rivers to chase one enemy can strand you two turns away from home when a fast tank enters the lower band.

The roster is fixed; movement, firing, spawn timing and the visible battle develop during play. The sequence is not a scripted route or a promised pickup location.

Sources and verification

Decoded from the stage-numbered Battle City (J) disassembly (listed ROM CRC32 F599A07E). Compared against two other data representations; source differences are retained in the verification record. Advice is editorial map analysis, not an original-ROM play-through. Tank 1990 correspondence has not been established.
