Opening and advance
Use short movements along the lower ice edge before making a longer crossing. The open upper-left side offers room to turn without a slide.
Solo defence and local co-op
Guard the lower ice exits from stable ground near home. In co-op, separate the forest-edge watcher from the tank working the open upper side.
Common mistake
The mostly basic enemy roster does not remove the terrain risk. A slide through the forest edge can hide your stopping position and delay a return shot.
Fixed enemy configuration
| Fixed enemy configuration | Count |
|---|---|
| Basic | 15 |
| Fast | 2 |
| Power | 2 |
| Armour | 1 |
Type order in the first 35-stage cycle
2 × Fast → 1 × Armour → 15 × Basic → 2 × Power
The roster is fixed; movement, firing, spawn timing and the visible battle develop during play. The sequence is not a scripted route or a promised pickup location.
Sources and verification
Decoded from the stage-numbered Battle City (J) disassembly (listed ROM CRC32 F599A07E). Compared against two other data representations; source differences are retained in the verification record. Advice is editorial map analysis, not an original-ROM play-through. Tank 1990 correspondence has not been established.
