Opening and advance
Use the left opening to reach the centre edge. Look across the forest before committing to a crossing; keep the lower route back around the steel shelves.
Solo defence and local co-op
In solo play, cover the exit from the central forest into the lower field. In co-op, split the two forest exits instead of stacking both tanks in the concealed middle.
Common mistake
Following a target deep into the forest can hide another tank passing below you. A visible pickup is not proof that the route is clear.
Fixed enemy configuration
| Fixed enemy configuration | Count |
|---|---|
| Basic | 9 |
| Fast | 2 |
| Power | 7 |
| Armour | 2 |
Type order in the first 35-stage cycle
7 × Power → 2 × Fast → 9 × Basic → 2 × Armour
The roster is fixed; movement, firing, spawn timing and the visible battle develop during play. The sequence is not a scripted route or a promised pickup location.
Sources and verification
Decoded from the stage-numbered Battle City (J) disassembly (listed ROM CRC32 F599A07E). Compared against two other data representations; source differences are retained in the verification record. Advice is editorial map analysis, not an original-ROM play-through. Tank 1990 correspondence has not been established.
