Opening and advance
Inspect the edge of the canopy before entering. Use the clear bottom strip to turn, and check for water when a concealed route stops unexpectedly.
Solo defence and local co-op
Cover the openings where forest meets the base area. In co-op, leave one player in that visible lower strip while the other explores a canopy edge.
Common mistake
Driving through the canopy as if it were empty can collide with hidden water or steel and prevent the sideways move needed to dodge.

The roster is fixed; movement, firing, spawn timing and the visible battle develop during play. The sequence is not a scripted route or a promised pickup location.
Sources and verification
Decoded from the stage-numbered Battle City (J) disassembly (listed ROM CRC32 F599A07E). Compared against two other data representations; source differences are retained in the verification record. Advice is editorial map analysis, not an original-ROM play-through. Tank 1990 correspondence has not been established.
